Meet Lauren McDermott!Hey! My name is Lauren McDermott, and I am a rising junior at Rhodes. I'm from Colorado Springs, CO and just recently returned from traveling abroad in Europe. The entire trip was unforgettable and one of the best experiences of my life! I first studied in Bilbao, Spain (with two other FABULOUS sisters Carsen Bahn and Anna Reilly) and lived with a host family for a month. My family was awesome, and I had a blast living up the spanish life with the other kids from Rhodes. After studying in Spain, Carsen and I (along with a few others) Euro-tripped, ultimate American tourist style, to Rome, Florence, Munich, and Amsterdam. We traveled by train and stayed in some VERY memorable hostels in each city which made the trip so much fun. After traveling with my fellow tourista Carsen, I met up with my sister and we traveled to Nice and St. Tropez in France and then ended the big trip in London. The past 6 weeks of traveling Europe was unbelievable and I couldn't have asked for anything more!
The rest of the the summer I am going to be at my family's cabin in Canada and then returning back to Memphis and moving into a house with 4 other Delta sisters which I CANNOT wait for. I am also the Social Chair for Tri Delta so I will be busy planning all the fun social events this fall!!I'm looking forward to meeting all the freshman and potential new Deltas this fall and hope you all are having a great summer!
